Description
The Sporlan Controls 401610 Liquid Line Filter Drier C-415-S removes moisture, solid contaminants and acids from liquid refrigerant as it travels through the refrigeration circuit. A molded desiccant core containing activated alumina, and molecular sieve materials capture moisture, and decomposition product before they reach the expansion valve. The filter drier installs in the liquid line through 5/8-inch ODF connections and remains in the refrigerant path during normal operation. HVAC systems use this filtration arrangement to keep liquid refrigerant cleaner and reduce the chance of moisture-related freezing at the expansion valve. Removing these contaminants also maintains the chemical condition of the refrigerant circuit.
