Description
The Rheem-Ruud 61-102211-56 Thermostatic Expansion Valve (TXV) is a refrigerant control component that regulate the amount of liquid refrigerant entering the evaporator coil according to HVAC system demand. The sensing bulb detects temperature change at the evaporator outlet and causing the valve diaphragm to adjust the internal needle position and vary refrigerant flow as operating conditions change. The valve is installed in the refrigerant line near the evaporator inlet to control metering.
