Description
The Sporlan Controls 168768 Thermal Expansion Valve (TXV) is a 6-ton refrigerant control component built for R22 applications regulating the amount of liquid coolant entering the evaporator to maintain proper operating conditions. It responds to temperature changes at the evaporator outlet and adjusts cooling flow accordingly assisting in maintaining stable superheat levels. Typically mounted between the liquid line and evaporator coil in HVAC systems the valve features 5/8″ x 7/8″ ODF connections for integration into compatible piping layouts. Accurate evaporator calibration supports efficient heat absorption, reliable cooling capacity and dependable system operation.
