York S1-02648057000 Mist Eliminator removes water droplets carried along with the airstream after air passes over the cooling coil. Its 1-inch thickness and 36.0-inch by 21.5-inch symmetrical configuration are positioned downstream of the evaporator coil inside the air handler casing. As high-velocity air moves through the eliminator, changes in airflow direction cause larger droplets to collect on its surface and drain toward the collection pan. This arrangement is used in HVAC systems to reduce moisture carryover into the supply ductwork. Keeping entrained water out of the downstream airstream maintain drier air movement during high-velocity cooling operation.
