The Trane HTR13416 Heat Strip is an electric heating element that adds supplemental heat to the airstream passing through an air-handling unit. When electrical power reaches the resistance elements, they generate heat that transfers to the moving air before discharge into the connected ductwork in HVAC systems. The 10kW capacity indicates the amount of electrical heating output available from the assembly allowing it to provide additional warmth when the primary heating source cannot meet the required demand. Power terminals connect the elements to the control circuit, while protective controls manage energization.
