The Rheem-Ruud 61-106238-41 2-Ton Thermal Expansion Valve (TXV) is a refrigerant metering component used in air conditioning and refrigeration equipment to control the amount of R-22 refrigerant entering the evaporator coil rated for 2-ton applications. It features 1/2″ x 1/2″ connections and a 30″ capillary tube that respond to temperature changes for accurate refrigerant regulation positioned between the liquid line and evaporator section in HVAC systems. It adjust refrigerant flow according to cooling demand and operating conditions.
