Description
The Raypak 017957F Pressure Relief Valve Kit release excess hydronic pressure from compatible boilers and water heaters when the internal pressure rise above its rated setting. During normal operation, the spring loaded valve remains closed at pressures up to 75 PSI. If pressure exceed that threshold, the spring mechanism lifts the valve seat and allows water or steam to discharge from the system. Installed at the heat exchanger or header assembly, the valve forms part of the pressure control arrangement. HVAC systems and water-heating equipment use this relief function to discharge accumulated pressure and protect the closed hydronic circuit from excessive internal loading.
