Description
The Carrier EA36UZ840 Thermal Expansion Valve (TXV) meters refrigerant as it enter the evaporator by changing the flow passage according to thermal conditions. A sensing element monitor refrigerant leaving the coil, and the resulting pressure change changes the valve position to adjust the feed rate. This response keeps refrigerant delivery matched with conditions at the evaporator. The valve connects the liquid line to the evaporator inlet in HVAC systems creating a controlled transition within the refrigeration circuit. By adjusting the opening as conditions change it maintain an even refrigerant supply through the coil.
