Trane INS01720 Burner Heat Shield Barrier Insulation is a thermal barrier placed within the component plate assembly, where it separates the combustion area from adjacent structural components. The insulation surrounds the burner opening and allows limited heat transfer from the combustion zone to nearby surfaces during equipment operation in HVAC systems. It forms part of the combustion assembly and works alongside the burner cap, combustion blower, ignitor, and connected components.
